Is the transition from being a structural engineer to a materials engineer easy? - structural engineer perth retaining wall
Currently I am a statistician, but I decided to be fired on and that it was time to change. I received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, two years ago and has always appreciated the evidence and material aspects of geotechnical and wondered whether there's a simple transition from the structural engineering materials. Should he go back to school to study engineering materials? Should I remain primarily a lab technician in a company Geotech to gain experience in the area? Any help would be very grateful! Thank you!

I am not aware that the universities specializing in training for a position of engineering materials. If you are sufficiently trained in the chemical composition of things, would be a good start.
